Begun probably c.1504 by Sir William Cumyng. Greatly ruined. Quadrilateral courtyard plan, narrower at W. than E. with keep in N.E. corner rectangular with stair in small S.W. jamb, private wing to S.E. and offices on W. side of court. Only N.E. wall of keep with simple gable and fragment of chimney survives to full height, remainder largely grass grown mounds of rubble.Information from British Listed Buildings
