Orchardton Tower is a Listed Building. Here's what the official description says about it:

Roofless 15th century cylindrical tower built by the Cairns
family. 4-storey with corbelled parapet, ruinous though
extensive range of domestic/service buildings to SW including
partially vaulted cellar.
Rough rubble walling with chamfered margins to external
openings. Ground floor with barrel-vaulted cellar nearly
rectangular on plan.
CIRCULAR HALL TO 1ST FLOOR. Originally entered by
round-arched door to SW. Later, window to N, enlarged to form square-headed doorway reached by L-plan stone forestair (much
rebuilt). In hall to right of fireplace pointed-arched
trefoil-cusped aumbry with damaged piscina, probably a reused ecclesiastical fragment.
Wheel stair ascends in thickness of wall through 2-stories
(now unfloored) to caphouse at parapet. Single moulded corbels
support projecting wall-walk.
